Ok, so after 53 years of living in Kensington I think I've seen it all. For the first time in my life here, I saw a big fat possum walking around in my back yard. No, not a rat, not a cat, no, a great big old possum. I have to tell you I was pretty shocked when I saw this thing. And I guess it was pretty fat from eating everyone's garbage.
Oh well, I guess the Catskills are coming to Brooklyn.

Well it might be the same possum, I saw one in the shrubs of a coop building on courtelyou/E. 7th. It was living ups to its name and was on its back looking mighty dead. My husband glanced and said what the hell is that, it was huge, I could not believe what I was seeing, big amazing and pretty creepy looking, thank god it was not alive, I might have had an accident.
HAHAHA, he totally crossed the street from our place. That thing scared that crap out of Derek one night in the back yard two summer ago.
Probably not the same one, but the one that Derek saw was HUGE.
we live in midwood but last summer we saw one wandering across our backyard and it was HUGE!!! i think they are mostly good hiders and it's shocking that they are around. that was the first time i've ever seen one since i moved in in 1990 to our house.
Ron, I seen one at my sister Patty's house near Kings Plaza about two years ago.I was just as surprised.

Florida is loaded with them. They look fierce but they're okay if you leave them alone. Raccoons are more worrisome.
I've seen both possums and raccoons on Ocean Parkway and Cortelyou.
OMG!!! GROSSSS I saw one a month ago on beverly rd btw ocean pkwy and east 5th.Freaked me out!!!
